Studs are metallic rods, either threaded their entire length (continuously threaded), or with a base on one end that is pressed into a housing or chassis, leaving the male thread exposed. Continuously threaded studs are sometimes slotted on one end. Studs are often set into mounting plates to attach motors, brackets or other sub-assemblies where access to the reverse side of the plate is not available.
Typically made from stainless steel, studs can be slotted and soft touch can be added as well. Standard thread sizes range from 4-40 up to 2″-8, and lengths cam be varied according to customer requirements.
ASM specializes in threaded studs and has an advanced manufacturing processes that can hold tighter tolerances than the industry standard. Our production capabilities also allow for the fastest turnaround of parts, including threaded studs as needed.
